Kathryn’s high school experience was short-lived. She fell behind early in the 9th grade and was never able to catch up, so she soon dropped out. She regretted not finishing high school, especially once she had a child and realized the importance of being a good role model.
Kathryn struggled for many years to become self-sufficient. When her boss encouraged her to enroll in the United Ministries program, she soon found that juggling the responsibilities of a home, a child, and a job required a tremendous amount of effort. She also found it challenging to retain the information she was learning.
However, her tutor would not let her quit, and her family gave her the support she needed to be successful. She even got a raise at work!
