For more than 58 years, Greenville Literacy Association (GLA) has served adults in the Greenville, South Carolina community with high quality instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, GED preparation and English as a Second Language. A partner in the state’s workforce development system, it also enhances its participants’ employability through digital literacy, job market preparation, pre-CNA classes and workplace-specific ESL.
GLA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that receives a portion of its funding through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Its programs are monitored for academic rigor and quality by the South Carolina Office of Adult Education. GLA is proud to work in partnership with United Way of Greenville County, SC Works, Eckerd Connects, Goodwill Industries and SNAP Education and Training.
