More than one million people who have started the GED test haven’t finished? Is that you or someone you know?  Did you know the current version of the GED test will expire at the end of 2013 and so will your scores?

Don’t let all of that hard work go to waste.  No parts of the test that have been passed will have to be retaken.  Contact the local GED testing center to finish your test.  If you feel you need more preparation, contact one of our centers and sign up to take classes for the subjects you need.

Greenville Literacy Association is a Community Based Organization that works with other schools and agencies in Adult Education across the state of South Carolina.  In an effort to stay on the same schedule as the schools, and provide a rewarding summer for tutors, students, volunteers and staff, GLA will be implementing a Summer Schedule during the months of June, July and August.

During these months, all 5 of our learning centers will operate on their normal schedule Monday through Thursday, but **ALL centers will be CLOSED on Fridays.

The learning centers will continue to offer morning and evening classes, the computer labs will still be available to students and one-on-one tutoring will remain, on the four days a week that the centers will be open.

This schedule will begin:  Friday, June 7th

This schedule will end:  Friday, August, 30th

This change ONLY AFFECTS FRIDAYS!

The book room, at our McAlister Square office, will continue to operate on Fridays to prepare for the Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale held August 16-18. Books may be donated there Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm, June 14-August 2. Call (864) 467-3456 for directions to the book room entrance and a volunteer will meet you at your car with a cart for easy drop-off.
