My Story, My Voice: Defying Expectations

My Story, My Voice: Defying Expectations was a free dramatic storytelling performance, held at the Warehouse Theater (WHT), featuring GLA students.    It was an inspiring evening of autobiographical stories about life defying expectations, written and performed by Greenville Literacy Association students and Furman University Theatre students. The who worked extremely hard with help of acting coaches from Warehouse Theatre and Furman Theatre to prepare their presentations.

Thank you to everyone who came to support our students, it was truly a moving experience.  Also, a big THANK YOU to Furman University Theatre for working with GLA students to write and share their stories. to WHT teaching artists, Prentiss and Kevin, WHT artistic associate, Maegan Azar, GLA volunteer, Katherine Latham, and to the Metropolitan Arts Council for supporting this partnership.
